Therapeutic Services & Interventions
I have several years of being informally trained (Non-Houston model) to conduct neuropsychological assessments. Therefore, I am not considered a neuropsychologist nor am I board-certified eligible to become a neuropsychologist. Yet, I believe a comprehensive understanding of a person’s overall health problems are best understood from a biophysiological perspective within the context of psychological and social factors.
My psychological “toolbox” or list of interventions in which I specialize cover a vast array of techniques. These are used to treat individuals suffering from serious medical conditions that impact their psychological health. These are also used to alleviate those who have longstanding and severe mental illness. My preferred modality of psychotherapy is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, although I regularly utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy as it is the most empirically researched form of therapy.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Mindfulness
Biofeedback
Motivational Interviewing
Progressive Muscle Relaxation
Hypnotherapy
SMART goal setting
Behavior Activation
